The soul, fortunately, has an interpreter - often an unconscious but still a faithful interpreter - in the eye.

About This Quote

For most people, the eyes are a window into the soul. If a person is feeling insecure, then the eyes will show that in a second. If they are feeling happy, then that can be seen in a second. Unfortunately, the immediate reactions of the body often obscure the deeper truth about a person.

There are many examples in history where something happened and one person is dead, another person is imprisoned, and yet another person is living in luxury. In each case, it seems as if fate has played out differently than was expected or understood by anyone else. The mind interprets what happens with reason and logic and often times that interpretation ignores how the body feels when the event occurs.

It's only when someone with a keen eye for beauty sees a painting or a statue that we begin to understand that what we see in front of us may not be what is actually there.
